Environmental Regulations
For products manufactured/imported into the EU by us, the following regulations are valid. For products not manufactured/imported into the EU by us, i.e. such products where we are acting as the manufacturer's distributor, other agreements for environmental regulations may apply.
Packaging (VerpackG)
On 01.01.2019 the new German law for the avoidance and recycling of packaging waste (VerpackG) replaces the previously valid VerpackV. As a manufacturer we are required by law to comply with the regulations of VerpackG.
We comply with the regulations set forth in VerpackG by having appointed Duales System Deutschland GmbH with the recycling of our sales packaging. Our sales packaging bear the symbol Grüner Punkt.
Our registration number with the LUCID Packaging Register run by the Stiftung Zentrale Stelle Verpackungsregister (ZSVR) is DE1153711398879.
WEEE
In January 2003 the EC directive 2002/96/EC ("WEEE Regulation", eng. Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) has been introduced in order to reduce the increasing amounts of electrical and electronic equipment waste through an extended manufacturers' responsibility for their products.
We comply with the regulation by being registered with Stiftung Elektro-Altgeräte-Register (ear).
Our WEEE Registration number is 25822316.
Our products bear the symbol of the strike-through waste bin.
Information on the fulfillment of the recycling quote and the separate collection quote can be obtained from the annual publication of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety.
Batteries (BattG)
As manufacturer we are required by law to comply with the regulations set forth in the Batteriegesetz (BattG).
We fulfil our duties set forth in BattG by participating in the business solution "GRS eMobility" by GRS Batterien Service GmbH.
Our registration number with the Umweltbundesamt is 21000235.
Our registration number with the ear is 75308473.
RoHS
RoHS (Restriction of the use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment) is in summary the EU regulation 2011/65/EU on the restriction of the use of certain substances (Lead, Mercury, Cadmium, Hexavalent Chromium, Polybrominated Biphenyls, PolyBrominated Diphenyl Ethers, Bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate, Butyl benzyl phthalate, Dibutyl phthalate, Diisobutyl phthalate) during the manufacturing and processing of electrical and electronic products and components and the implementation into national law. To our knowledge none of our products contain any substances restricted by 2011/65/EU.
REACh
On June 1st, 2007 EU regulation 1907/2006 (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation of Chemicals) has come into effect. The substances affected by this REACh regulation are published by the European Chemicals Agency in its Candidate List. More responsibilities are given to manufacturers for their products. We as a manufacturer are required by §33 to disclose any products containing more than 0,1 mass percent of any of the substances from this candidate list.
